TEA PARTY MOVEMENT IN VALPARAISO, INDIANA

I thank everyone who is interested in “What is going to happen next” after the protest on April 15th.

I am in the process of getting the necessary “PERMITS” needed to assemble. That is paramount before I speak of the exact date and time and even “WHERE” the next Tea Party will take place.

To get the permits I must first get on the “agenda” for both the City and County Board of Commissioners. One does not just go to their office and ask for a permit. You must give written notice to these officials and then go before the entire board as it needs to be voted on. Which I have done. Once I have the permits I can announce the specifics. To announce anything prior to that would be irresponsible. That is the process. I am not trying to keep anyone in the dark…I am following the guidelines.

It is our constitutional right to assemble, this is true. The city or county may have something else planed for the day I hope we can assemble so I must work around their schedule. That is why I “cannot” be specific as to the exact date and time of our Tea Party. It is my hope that we are granted permits for the Fourth of July. I have done my research and as far as I can tell there is nothing planned, but I cannot be sure until the boards tell me the date is open.

I have ideas for this assembly and it includes something for everyone, including children to our grandparents…as that is who attended the April 15th event. This is our National day of celebrating our “INDEPENDENCE” so I would like to keep this theme full of patriotism. Yet we have a government that does not seem to hear: “WE THE PEPOPLE”, so there will be much to learn as well.

I will go before these boards with great pride as to represent the attendees of the April 15th event. I had a responsibility to stay until all attendees had left that day; as I had to make sure there was no garbage or people staying past the permit time constraints. I am very proud to say, there was not a cigarette butt, a can, or anything for me, or the volunteers to pick up. There was not one bit of disturbance in the crowd. That says a lot for us to go forward with our Tea Party movement.

I am working very hard, non-stop as a matter of fact, to keep everyone informed. I am meeting with new people who want to be apart of the “SOLUTION”.

Should you read something on the internet, or paper, or blogs that “some say” that it won’t be in the square, then they either know more than the City and the County or they don’t know what they are talking about all together.

I am receiving and answering a lot of phone calls and emails. I am being stopped at the grocery store as to how this assembly has invigorated the base of American people. I am doing all I can to validate their concerns and input on a path forward. I do not want anyone to feel displaced. It is an awful feeling…I know…I felt displaced until I saw the people who assembled on April 15th. My name is attached to that event, and I have a responsibility to myself and to the people, to see to it that their energy gets directed to individuals that will enlighten us to the elected officials that have ignored us in the past and drive us to honest individuals who will take us to a brighter future. I am doing this before and after my day job…so if you don’t hear from me right away…please…bear with me.

I feel compelled to inform you that I know very little about imputing names and address into a data base. Remember…I was just an average citizen that was mad as hell and I just took it upon myself to organize a “Tea Party”. I know almost “nothing” about twitter and blogs. I know “nothing” about building a website. To allow people to help with vital information, I must know their agenda as I cannot let this information out to just anyone. I must know their motive. Since the April 15th event, I have met wonderful people. People that are internet and computer wise. They willing to donate their time and energy to educate me and not compromise the information gathered. You will meet them at our next Tea Party. I am proud to be associated with them.

Having said all that, I will post this so as you know I am organizing. I am enthusiastic with what is going forward. The minute I get the permits needed for our next Tea Party I will contact the media, send out emails, and post it on: The NWI Tea Party website, Facebook, and my Tea Party Patriots page.

Be assured, I have not left you…I have the same concerns you do. We are all in this together.
